California Aikido Association Logo
The logo for the California Aikido Association was chosen at the Inaugural Training & Celebration Event held last Sunday at Aikido of San Jose.

The event was a great success: great instruction (from each of the CAA Division heads); great training (with CAA members from many different dojo), and great food, including a special 'gold flake' sake (thanks, Cyndy)!

There were 15 designs submitted. All were color printed and displayed throughout the day. Attendees were asked to vote for their favorite by placing an 'x' in the boxes displayed underneath each design. At the end of the day, this design, created by Ursula Doran, was the clear favorite. The strong, open spiral, clearly illustrating the principles of energy and harmony. Frank Doran, Shihan, says that it demonstrates "yokomenuchi shihonage". The design will be used on the official CAA letterhead.
