Subject: Ken Blaylock Update #1
To all on the mailing list:
I've established a list to send updates on Ken and his upcoming adventures.
If you don't want to be on the list, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Here is Ken's temporary mailing address at Fort Dix New Jersey. This
address should be good for 3 weeks or so. I recommend that if you intend to
mail him something to send it before the 15th of October.
Major Kenneth Blaylock (2503)
HHC 1st BN (FWD), 297th INF
BLDG #6038 Doughboy Loop
Fort Dix, NJ 08640-9001
His email address is: Kenneth.blaylock1@us.army.mil
To all that sent emails, attended the departure ceremony, said prayers, and
called, Thank you. If your emails were unanswered it was due to the hectic
last weeks of preparation before his departure because of the short notice.
All emails were read and appreciated.
We're not sure how long he will be at Fort Dix. He and his unit are busy
training. I do know he has 3 wonderful roommates (said tongue in cheek) and
that he has limited time to call and email. His commander is planning on
him training the unit in martial arts and the unit is looking forward to the
training. Many of the other men in his unit are friends that he has known
for a long time. He is going with a good group of guys most very
experienced in the art of war and confident and highly competent in their
jobs. His commander is level headed and not prone to acts of "glory".
That's about it for this update. I'm still working on the pictures from the
departure ceremony. I'm afraid I was too busy watching and didn't get very
many shots, but I will share what I have. I'm planning on posting them to
our website.
Thanks to you all for your support!
